AlmResidency
Das jährlich stattfindende Programm „AlmResidency“ lädt in diesem Jahr zur Ausstellung in die Lothringer Halle ein. Die Künstlerinnen Rebekka Bauer, Alina Belyagina, Polina Bertou, Kristina Schmidt und Linda Weiß trafen sich im Rahmen der Residency in einer außergewöhnlichen Umgebung: auf zwei Almhütten im bayerischen Voralpenland. Dort, inmitten unberührter Natur, lebten und arbeiteten sie gemeinsam, um ihre künstlerischen Arbeiten weiterzuentwickeln und zu vertiefen.
Ohne moderne Annehmlichkeiten, ausgestattet mit Holzscheiten, frischem Quellwasser und warmen Socken, erlebten die Bewohner eine Zeitreise in die Vergangenheit. Für den morgendlichen Kaffee musste der Ofen erst eine Stunde lang eingeheizt werden, geduscht wurde mit der Gießkanne unter freiem Himmel.
Die Ausstellung zeigt die während der Residenz entstandenen und weiterentwickelten Arbeiten und bietet spannende Einblicke in die künstlerischen Prozesse und Erfahrungen der Künstlerinnen. Die Ergebnisse sind vielfältig: von den großformatigen Installationen von Kristina Schmidt und Linda Weiß, die ihr irdenes Material direkt aus dem Berg schöpft, bis zu Polina Bertous malerischen Interpretationen der einsamen Zeit auf der Hütte. Rebekka Bauer lässt sich von den besonderen Lichtstimmungen des Waldes inspirieren und Alina Belyagina konfrontiert in zwei Videoarbeiten in Zusammenarbeit mit der Medienkünstlerin Alina Schuch die Kühle der Fliesenwelt des Münchner Volksbades mit der Wärme des menschlichen Körpers.

Die Ausstellung wird mit einer Live-Performance von Alina Belyagina in Zusammenarbeit mit der diesjährigen Gastkünstlerin María Constanza Meléndez eröffnet.

Am Tag nach der Eröffnung laden die Künstlerinnen selbst in ihre Ausstellung und gewähren jede*n Interessierte*n einen tiefen Blick in ihr künstlerischen Werk und die Gedankenwelt dahinter.
Samstag, 1. März, 16-18 Uhr: Screaming Workshop mit Charlie
Laut sein – das kostet oft Überwindung, ist ungewohnt und klappt nicht immer gut. Deshalb möchte ich euch in geschütztem Rahmen zeigen, was ihr für mehr Kraft in der Stimme tun könnt, wo die Lautstärke eigentlich herkommt und wie ihr Verletzungen vermeidet. Gemeinsam probieren wir verschiedene Aufwärmtechniken, machen Atemübungen, lernen wichtige basics zur Anatomie und Funktionsweise der Stimme und teilen Tipps und Tricks miteinander.

Sonntag, 16. März, 17 Uhr: Kuratorinnenführung und Finissage
Zum Ende der Ausstellung laden die zwei Kuratorinnen und Organisatorinnen der AlmResidency, Magdalena Jooss und Janina Totzauer, zu einer Tour durch die Ausstellung. Sie ziehen Linien zwischen den Erlebnissen der Künstlerinnen auf der Alm und Ihren daraus entstandenen Kunstwerken. Es wird Einblick gewährt in das Projekt welches nun schon seit 10 Jahren besteh. Die Führung steht jedem Kunst- und Naturinteressierten offen.

This year, the annual “AlmResidency” program invites you to an exhibition in the Lothringer Halle. The artists Rebekka Bauer, Alina Belyagina, Polina Bertou, Kristina Schmidt and Linda Weiß met in an unusual setting as part of the residency: two alpine huts in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps. There, in the midst of untouched nature, they lived and worked together to further develop and deepen their artistic work.
Without modern conveniences, equipped with wood, fresh spring water and warm socks, the residents experienced a journey back in time. For the morning coffee, the oven had to be heated for an hour, and showers were taken in the open air with a watering can.
The exhibition shows the artistic works created and developed during the residency and offers exciting insights into the artists' processes and experiences. The results are diverse: from the large-format installations by Kristina Schmidt and Linda Weiß, who drew her earthen material directly from the mountain, to Polina Bertou's painterly interpretations of the solitary time in the hut. Rebekka Bauer is inspired by the special light moods of the forest and Alina Belyagina confronts the coolness of the tiled world of the Munich Volksbad with the warmth of the human body in two video works in collaboration with media artist Alina Schuch.

The exhibition will open with a live performance by Alina Belyagina in collaboration with this year's guest artist María Constanza Meléndez.

On the day after the opening, the artists themselves invite you into their exhibition and give anyone interested a deep insight into their artistic work and the world of thought behind it.
Saturday, March 1, 4-6 p.m.: Screaming workshop with Charlie
Being loud – something that is not just as easy for anyone and can cost quite an effort. In this workshop I will show you how to make your voice sound more powerful, where the volume actually comes from and how to avoid damaging your vocal chords in the process. In a safer space we will explore different ways to warm up, try breathing exercises, learn crucial basics about the voice’s anatomy and functioning and share some tips and tricks with each other.

Sunday, March 16, 5 p.m.: Curator tour and finissage
At the end of the exhibition, the two curators and organizers of the AlmResidency, Magdalena Jooss and Janina Totzauer, invite you on a tour through the exhibition. They draw lines between the artists' experiences on the Alm and their resulting artworks. They will provide an insight into the project, which has now been running for 10 years. The guided tour is open to anyone interested in art and nature.
